Howdy, I'm Henry Craig Henson. Call me whichever you like.

If you ask me, music should be fun first. Sure, we'll learn scales, technique, rhythm, and all the important stuff, but we'll do it by playing music you actually want to play. Whether you're dreaming of writing songs, jamming with friends, leading worship, shredding a guitar solo, or just finally figuring out that one song you've always loved, we'll build the skills to get you there.

My own musical learning has come from a variety of teachers. From listening to my grandpa strum old hymns and bluegrass in my West Tennessee hometown to studying jazz during college and picking up music theory from other talented musicians around me, it all has kept me in love with music from a young age. Now, I teach guitar, piano, banjo, bass, drums, ukelele, and trumpet.

I've been teaching since 2018 and have had the privilege of working with hundreds of students — from young beginners starting their musical journey to adults crossing an instrument off their bucket list. Along the way I've toured both the States and beyond, recorded professionally, and served as a music director. Even still, my favorite part of music is still watching that moment when something finally clicks for a student.

Around here, mistakes are expected; questions are encouraged; and progress beats perfection every time.
